Award winning local wildlife photographer Bob Johnson will be telling us all about the fifty days that he has spent photographing on the rivers of Brazil's Pantanal. At 42 million acres these pristine wetlands occupy an area slightly larger than England and extend from Brazil into neighbouring Bolivia and Paraguay. The Pantanal is home to the world's third largest cat, the jaguar, the world's largest otter, the giant otter and the world's largest rodent, the capybara. The Pantanal is also home to ten million yacare caiman which makes it the largest single crocodilian population on earth. Bob will show us some amazing pictures of these animals together with images of many different bird species such as the Hyacinth Macaw, Ringed Kingfisher, Black Collared Hawk and the iconic Toco Toucan.
